Nina George Stylist is a personal styling business run by Nina George, a sole trader based in London, UK ("I", "me", "my"). This policy explains what personal data I collect through ninageorgestylist.com and my styling services, why I collect it, and what rights you have over it.

The data I collect

When you book a consultation. Through Calendly, I collect your name, email address, and phone number, along with your appointment details.

When you pay for a service. Payments are processed by Stripe. I don't store your card details myself — Stripe handles and secures this on my behalf. I keep a record of the payment (amount, date, service booked) for my own accounts.

During your styling session. To carry out a colour analysis or styling consultation, I record details like your colouring (skin undertone, hair and eye colour) and style preferences. With your agreement, I also take photos during the session — these are used to build your personal outfit library, which I share back with you, and to help me put together your styling recommendations.

If you join my mailing list. I collect your name and email address through Mailchimp when you sign up for updates or style content.

When you browse the website. Like most websites, ninageorgestylist.com uses cookies and similar technologies that can collect information such as your IP address, browser type, and which pages you visit, to help me understand how the site is used. See the Cookies section below for how you can control this.

About your photos specifically

I only take photos with your agreement, and I'll always ask before I do. They're used to build the outfit library I share with you and to inform your styling recommendations — not for anything else, and never for my marketing or social media without asking you separately first. You can ask me to delete your photos at any time, and I'll do so unless I need to keep a record for a genuine ongoing reason (for example, an active styling project we're still working on together).

Who I share your data with

I share data with the third-party services I use to run Nina George Stylist, each of which processes it under their own privacy policy:

  • Calendly — booking and scheduling

  • Stripe — payment processing

  • Mailchimp — email marketing

  • Google Workspace — email and file storage

  • Squarespace — website hosting and analytics

I don't sell your data, and I don't share it with anyone else for their own marketing purposes.

Where your data is stored

Some of the services above (including Stripe, Mailchimp, Google, and Squarespace) may store or process data outside the UK, including in the US. Where this happens, they do so under recognised safeguards such as UK-approved standard contractual clauses.

How long I keep your data

  • Financial records (bookings, payments): at least 5 years, in line with HMRC record-keeping requirements for sole traders.

  • Colour analysis details and photos: for as long as you remain an active client, and typically up to 24 months after your last booking in case you return — sooner if you ask me to delete it.

  • Mailing list: until you unsubscribe or ask me to remove you.

Cookies

The website uses cookies to help it function and, where you've given consent, to help me understand how it's used (for example, through website analytics). You can manage or withdraw your consent for non-essential cookies at any time via the cookie settings on the site, and you can also block cookies through your browser settings — though this may affect how parts of the site work.

Keeping your data safe

I take reasonable steps to protect your data, including using reputable, secure third-party providers (Calendly, Stripe, Mailchimp, Google, Squarespace) for storage and processing, and limiting access to your information to what's needed to deliver your styling service.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you can ask what data I hold about you, ask me to correct or delete it, object to how I use it, or withdraw consent at any time (for example, for photos or marketing emails). Email nina@ninageorgestylist.com to do any of this, or to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk if you're unhappy with how I've handled your data.

Marketing emails

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link at the bottom of any email, or by contacting me directly.

Children

Nina George Stylist's services are intended for adults. I don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

I may update this policy from time to time — I'll post the current version here with the date it was last updated.
